Job Description

We are seeking to fill a new role on our team that will to support the launch of new websites and general client success through content entry, strategy, and social media planning.

This is a full-time, remote position that is open to candidates throughout Canada, with preference for those in Western Canada.

This role is oriented around making online experiences the best they can be through the lens of well organized content and conversion driven page layouts. While this is not a writing or web design position, an ideal candidate would have strong writing and communications skills as well as a keen eye for aesthetics.

This client-facing position that requires collaboration, organization, and swift decision making. The successful candidate will be integral to successful website launches and ensuring the success of the brands we work with.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients as a critical thinker toward planning content and creating new pages on our client websites.
  • A major part of this role is planning and content entry. Strategizing the best ways to optimize layout for provided content to help tell a brand story and increase conversion. You will add and publish this content in WordPress to create launch ready websites.
  • Uncover traffic insights through analytics to help plan content goals and inform clients on the state of their content.
  • Plan and execute thoughtful social media campaigns to help our clients gain recognition and meet conversion goals.
  • Create and launch new web pages for existing client websites and assist in decision making required for optimal user experience.
  • Proactively review existing content on select client websites to provide suggestions and recommendations for bettering user flow or content clarity and implement these suggestions.
  • Assist in migrating content from existing websites to newly designed sites in preparation for launch. This will require making decisions on how to consolidate and clarify information architecture.
  • Reviewing, prioritizing, and actioning client requests for existing websites as they pertain to content creation.
  • Delegating client requests to applicable team members that may require design or development support.

Education Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a post secondary diploma/degree in a relevant field of study that may include, but is not limited to business, communication or marketing.
  • 1+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with WordPress as a content management platform.
  • Experience coordinating projects
  • Social media management experience
  • Knowledge of SEO concepts and importance of accessibility.

Bonus Skills (nice to have)

  • Demonstrated SEO experience
  • Experience with design software (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Demonstrated understanding of WCAG 2.1 principles.
  • Experience in a content writing
  • Familiarity working with project management tools (ie: Clickup)
