Not a surprise: ChristmACE, as we once knew it, is no longer possible.

Surprise: With the support of ZGM Modern Marketing Partners, we’ve gathered three of the industry’s biggest, baddest names in advertising. Palmer Stamnes DDB’s Frank Palmer, ATB Financial’s Carol Shmygol and Ray’s Jeff McLean to take part in a virtual panel, reflecting on the very strange year that was (or still is, for that matter).

Open to everyone, join us as these industry leaders speak on what they’ve learned, where they’re headed and what it means for all of us in a casual, interactive setting. Interspersed through it all will be great giveaways and assorted digital merrymaking.

Tickets are only $10 for ACE Members and $20 for non-members, with half of all ticket proceeds going to NABS, helping to support members of our community through what may be a particularly difficult holiday season.

Panelist Bios

Frank Palmer, Chairman, Palmer Stamnes DDB – Canada Marketing Hall of Fame inductee. Former chairman and CEO of DDB Canada. Architect behind former agency Palmer Jarvis. Frank Palmer has helped shape Western Canadian advertising as we know it. Rejoining DDB in 2019, he now helps lead the newly minted Palmer Stamnes DDB out of Vancouver.

Carol Shmygol, Senior Vice President of Brand, ATB Financial – Helming the marketing and advertising efforts at ATB Financial, Carol Shmygol has helped make the Alberta-based institution into one of the province’s most loved brands. An agency veteran and branding maven, Carol is one of our industry’s most trusted voices.

Jeff McLean, Senior Art Director, Ray – Jeff McLean works for St. John’s, Newfoundland’s Ray Creative Agency. Jeff McLean has worked across Canada. Jeff McLean has won more awards than you. Jeff McLean was the recipient of the 2019 ACE Fellowship Award and is one of the country’s most celebrated advertising creatives.
