Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of defined marketing and acquisition strategies to bring in sales-qualified leads for Paper Leaf. This is an entry-level position focused on executing a pre-developed strategy and working within established marketing processes, while collaborating closely with other members of the business development team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, with the resourcefulness and ability to see a marketing project through from start to finish. They should have strong writing and editing skills, along with some experience working with CRMs and other marketing platforms, such as social media. They are comfortable handling all aspects of a marketing project, from writing to editing, to basic design, and publishing.

This is a 14-month contract role to cover a one-year parental leave with the possibility of extension into a permanent full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on pre-defined strategic marketing initiatives
  • Write case studies and insight articles using a defined process
  • Tracking conferences and events, and supporting sponsorship and speaking engagement discussions
  • Write posts for Paper Leaf’s social media
  • Report on KPIs for your role and performance of marketing activities
  • Refine lead generation campaigns
  • Manage marketing projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines are met
  • Search for and help vet local and national events
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and audience insights
  • Be an active member of our sales and marketing team, participating in quarterly strategic sessions and taking on initiatives to move the team towards our sales and marketing goals
  • Assist in overflow sales work such as contract renewals or vetting sales inquiries received through phone and email

Requirements

  • This is a junior level position so a strong willingness to learn is a must
  • Ability to keep yourself organized and deliver on deadlines
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to to collaborate with others to gather necessary information for impactful messaging
  • Strong sense of curiosity, with willingness to look for new ideas and opportunities

Nice to Haves

  • Marketing, Business or English degree or diploma
  • Some experience with basic design, such as using Canva to create social posts
  • Hands-on experience in creating and managing paid media campaigns, with the ability to report on and communicate performance to other team members.
  • Experience with Hubspot, Google Analytics, and/or other MarTech platforms is an asset
  • Experience working in an agency or fast-paced environment

What We Offer

This is a full-time, salaried position at an expected range of $50,000-60,000 per year, dependent on candidate experience.
