Summary:  

We are looking for a driven Marketing Manager to lead and scale the Marketing team at the Akash Homes Head Office in Edmonton, Alberta.  

The Opportunity:

Scaling a team is a privilege. Your key role as the Marketing Manager is to set up the entire marketing function for success. Think of the marketing department as a startup company. You’ll do everything from developing short-term strategies and roadmaps, to personally executing core marketing initiatives and eventually scaling the team when additional resources are required. 1 year of employment at Akash homes is like 3 years at other companies, due to our growth trajectory and the unique challenges you’ll need to navigate as a leader. This is the challenge and the privilege you’ll have to embrace to build a high performing team.  

What You’ll Work On:  

Roadmap Development & Focus: 

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current marketing department and Akash Homes’ business to create a prioritized roadmap aligned with business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with the President and Vice President to transform marketing operations, driving efficiency and strategic opportunities. 
  • Balance strategy development with hands-on execution and project management. 

Marketing Execution & Project Management: 

  • Identify and lead key projects such as advertising strategy, website rebuild, brand recognition, and visual promotion tools. 
  • Oversee the creation and consistency of brand awareness through marketing materials, including managing online presence and producing engaging content. 
  • Design the Customer Experience journey in collaboration with the Warranty and Customer Experience teams, using insights to drive improvements. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet their marketing needs and support overall business goals. 

Data, Reporting & Communications: 

  • Establish consistent reporting on key performance indicators like impressions, click-through rates, conversion rates, return on advertising spend, and cost of customer acquisition. 
  • Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of changing practices, technology, competition, and consumer preferences. 

What you’ll bring:  

  • A degree in marketing or related field. This is an asset, not a requirement.  
  • A broad range of experience. We’re excited to speak to candidates outside of the home building industry.  
  • 3-5 years Marketing Manager experience is an asset. If you are a high performer looking to step into leadership for the first time, we also welcome your application! 
  • Proficient and high degree of experience with website design and research, customer experience, digital transformation, project management and digital marketing strategies.  
  • Builder Mindset. A proven track record of building and optimizing marketing departments in dynamic, high-growth environments. You thrive in energized, passionate entrepreneurial cultures that are focused on performance and embrace accountability.

  • Self-Starter: You’re a proactive self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of projects from inception to completion. Your ability to work independently and drive results without constant supervision is essential for success in this role.  
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: You are a strong advocate for continuous improvement, fostering a culture of openness and adaptability within your team. Your proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth and enhancement drives positive change and innovation.
