    The successful candidate must have a degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism with three – five years of progressive experience in communications and strategic planning. Equivalences may be considered. In addition, you have highly developed oral and written skills, are detail oriented, can work on multiple projects and meet timelines and complete tasks with little supervision, have proven experience in creating and executing communications tactics and tools as well as strong project and people coordination skills. You enjoy the outdoors and recognize the positive roles hunters, anglers and trappers play in conservation.

Communications Coordinator (Maternity Leave)

 

Alberta Conservation Association has an immediate opening for a temporary full-time experienced communicator to join our Communications Resource Program.

 

The Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with the Communications Manager and special committees to develop, implement and monitor communications activities. The key role is to organize project requirements, engage public relations, and monitor target and brand messaging of Alberta Conservation Association.

 

You have the ability to develop and execute communications plans and media events; are a writer who can convey the value of conservation to the public in a creative way; understand the value of analyzing data using evaluation and measurement tools; and can stickhandle a project through to completion on time with a creative team.
