  • Qualifications:

    • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications or a related field. A combination of marketing experience and education will be considered. Commercial marketing experience is an asset
    • Minimum 6 years’ marketing and advertising experience, with solid experience in writing marketing plans and communications, and copy-writing across a variety of platforms

     

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong project management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
    • Ability to deliver quality work with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail
    • Experience setting up paid digital marketing and advertising campaigns (Google search and display, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) a distinct asset

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Research, analysis and project planning
    • Proactively provides marketing counsel and assistance to the Marketing and Communications Department and to designated public-facing NAIT departments
    • Conducts market research, analyzes companies and competitors, and assesses client needs to identify opportunities that meet NAIT’s business goals
    • Writes both long and short-term strategic plans, identifying trends and new markets to ensure competitive positioning. Implement marketing plans and measure results
    • Analyzes competitors, conducts internal evaluations and works with colleagues to coordinate marketing projects across the full range of paid, earned and owned media
    • Stays abreast of marketing best practices, industry trends and competitors to support decisions with respect to marketing and business development
  • Opportunity Development and Project Management
    • Audits current marketing strategies and works with key clients to identify target audiences, objectives, key messages and best practice to achieve strategic marketing goals
    • Provides support in determining effective approaches to pursuing new business, and increasing profile, while driving follow-up and implementation
    • Copy-writing and editing for a wide variety of media, email marketing, promotional materials and advertising
    • In consultation with Marketing, Web and Communications colleagues, initiates creative work and maintains quality control while meeting project timelines
    • Leads and works with colleagues to implement SEO, direct and online marketing, paid advertising, event marketing
    • Provides input on budget decisions and assist with effectively managing budgets
    • Collect and analyze data from marketing campaigns to evaluate performance.
    • Share findings with multiple stakeholders and use information in making data-driven decisions
    • Coordinates media purchases as defined in plans, across traditional, digital, social media.
  • Liaison
    • Liaise with clients effectively, assessing needs and providing a consultative service while meeting Marketing and Communications department and organizational goals
    • Complete projects within established guidelines.
