The Judges’ breakfast is back with some of the world’s best and brilliant creative minds on hand, you won’t want to miss this event! The judges are in town to host the prestigious ACE awards, but are taking a morning off to discuss the ever evolving world of advertising and what we as marketers can do to ensure our clients stay competitive, engaging and top of mind, allowing our industry to continue to thrive in today’s economic climate.

This breakfast session will allow the Edmonton advertising community to interact with a few of the top creative talents from across North America.

The Judges

Adam Bailey, Creative Director @ Creature, Seattle WA

The first judge released for this year’s ACE Awards is Adam the Creative Director at Creature Seattle, where he has overseen award winning campaigns for Dickies, Truvia, and Beyond Meat. Prior to joining Creature, Adam honed his skills at BBDO and DDB on clients such as Doritos, Pepsi, Tropicana, Subaru, and Jeep. His diverse body of work has garnered international acclaim from The Cannes Lions, The Clios, The One Show, Communication Arts, Fast Company, and The New York Times.

 

Anthony Taaffe, Creative Director @ Chester+Company, Halifax NS

Originally from Australia, Anthony has being involved in advertising and design forover 20 years. Through out his career, Anthony has created multi-media work for the telecommunications, tourism, beverage, automotive and packaged goods categories. His work has won him accolades at the Cannes, Canadian Marketing, the London International, Applied Arts and other national and regional award shows. His mother still doesn’t understand what he does.

 

Bryan Collins, Founder & Creative Director @ 123w, Vancouver BC

Bryan has been in advertising for over 20 years in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. He’s been ranked one of the top Creative Directors and Copywriters in Canada with awards at Cannes, One Show and Communication Arts. Prior to launching 123w, Bryan, along with longtime partner Rob Sweetman, ran the award-winning creative departments at Cossette Vancouver and Dare Vancouver. Bryan is one of the founders of One Twenty Three West, which launched in 2012. Unexpectedly in 2013, the agency was asked to speak at Cannes. Even more unexpectedly in 2014, the agency named one of the top 10 agencies in Canada by Marketing Magazine.

 

Jane Murray, Executive Creative Director @ Lowe Roche, Toronto, ON

Jane Murray is Executive Creative Director at Lowe Roche in Toronto. Her 18 years in the business have been prolific – producing iconic retail campaigns for Reitman’s, Winners, and TELUS Mobility, as well as working on brands like Shreddies, RBC, and MINI. Previously, Jane was a Creative Director at TBWA, and Associate Creative director and copywriter at CP&B, Ogilvy, Taxi and MacLaren McCann. You’ll find her work in the top award shows and publications, including The One Show, Cannes, The Clios, D&AD, Applied Arts and Communication Arts.

 

Katie Brinkworth, Sr. Copywriter @ Pereira & O’Dell, San Francisco CA

Katie is a copywriter living in San Francisco. She works at Pereira & O’Dell with a bunch of fun, crazy and occasionally Brazillian friends. At POD she’s worked on accounts like Skype, 1800 Contacts, and Renuzit. When she’s not working on ads, Katie likes to write other weird things for internet humor publications like McSweeney’s and The New Yorker. And when she’s not doing that, she likes to wander around the interesting city of San Francisco and stare at her small beige dog Noodle to try and decipher his thoughts.
