If you thought about running for the board in April, but weren’t sure if it was for you, test drive it by sitting on a subcommittee. You can see how the board functions and the responsibilities of each Member. You’ll meet lots of industry people and have a great time while you do it. Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to plan and execute events like the ACE Awards, Ad Auction, PD Sessions, and After Hours. Or you can help raise the Club’s profile by helping to increase membership and improve communications to the membership and the advertising community. The Communications Committee volunteers are responsible for getting the message out!
We need volunteers to help raise the Club’s profile by reporting on events (attending events, taking photos, etc), writing and submitting blogs and news releases, profiling Club members, and helping to support all other subcommittee initiatives. The programming committee is looking for a handful of volunteers that would be responsible for aiding in planning and executing all Ad Club-related events.
Professional development to networking events such as After Hours, the Golf Tournament and ChristmACE, the programming team will strive to ensure members are given as many opportunities as possible to learn, network and recruit.

Every year, businesses and the advertising community come together to mix, mingle and bid on a plethora of cheap advertising space. Why?
Well, everyone likes a good deal, and the money raised plops right back into the advertising community in the form of scholarships, support of ACE events including professional development activities, and other good causes like NABS. The Ad Auction Chair needs a dedicated team of volunteers to help develop, coordinate, and run the event. Promote ACE to post-secondary institutions. Student volunteers are needed to represent each of the post-secondary campuses in the city.
The goal of the membership committee is to increase student membership as well as to have a student representative in each campus who will act as a liaison between the Membership Chair and their peers and will be involved in the Mentorship Program.

The Sponsorship subcommittee needs volunteers to assist in prizing coordination for events like the Golf Tournament as well as the sponsorship effort for the ACE Awards.
This would include contacting existing sponsors and prospecting new ones. This would provide an excellent opportunity for a Sales and/or Marketing person to make valuable contacts and networking opportunities. Students or industry people are welcome.
