Marketing Intern : The Advertising Club of Edmonton

Job Description

About Us:

We are Berlin.

We specialize in projects with high stakes, complex stakeholder environments, and a mission to move hearts and minds. We get excited about telling untold stories, shifting perceptions and attitudes, and helping clients make big moves toward their vision for the future.

That can mean creating a campaign to correct misinformation, an immersive experience that highlights important social issues, or helping clients redefine their relationship with partners and stakeholders. We don’t fear big questions, conflict or complexity – those are all signs that we’re working on issues that matter.

Role Description:

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our public relations leaders, our creative director, our strategists, and the rest of the team daily. We operate as a unit on projects, meaning you’ll be part of that top-performing, supportive and integrated group – there’s no real creative/accounts divide here, and the partners at Berlin work alongside the rest of the team as we solve complex, interesting, and meaningful challenges. You’re not going to be stuck doing simple, boring bits as you learn the ropes – here, you will be right in the fun, challenging work with us, from day one.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the account and strategy teams with administrative, client-related tasks and help build the communication and marketing strategies that have been an important part of Berlin’s success. We will show you the ropes to understanding marketing and communications tactics and project management.

Feeling like you don’t have the right qualifications? Some of our strongest account people have come from sociology, journalism, politics, or design backgrounds – but they embody our values, write well, and are fully committed to our clients and projects. We still want to hear from you.

  • Contributing to weekly updates across client projects
  • Provide administrative support and project management support for client and internal projects

Behavioural competencies:

  • Confidence and comfort dealing with agency partners and clients
  • Attention to detail
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, always taking the first swing at things even if you’ve never tried it before
  • A balanced, level-headed approach to problem-solving
  • Interest in experiencing agency life

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
