Role Overview

Working in a hybrid environment and reporting directly to the Director, Brand & Design, the Promotional Programs Specialist (PPS) is responsible for helping implement company-wide promotional programs on behalf of the Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations (MCPR) team. Key initiatives include Stantec’s advertising (digital and print), tradeshow/conference, and year-end campaign programs. The PPS helps establish best practices and coordinates program rollouts.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Advertising

  • Partner with our Digital Marketing team to build a digital advertising program at Stantec.
  • Partner with MCPR teams to coordinate print ads and schedule digital advertisements.
  • Track advertising performance and make recommendations on optimization.
  • Provide guidance on process and available advertising support services.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of an annual strategic advertising plan.
  • In partnership with a visual communication designer, develops copy and identifies imagery.
  • Tracks, analyses, and reports on all advertising initiatives, including deliverables and budgets, as required.

Tradeshows/Conferences/Events

  • Provide guidance on Stantec’s tradeshow/conference process and available support services for events.
  • Manage annual data batching into Stantec’s tradeshow and conference application, cleansing data for accuracy and adding supplemental event details.
  • Manage the production of tradeshow graphic printing with vendors.

Other programs

  • Provides guidance on process, photography guidelines, and Stantec-approved marketing photographers.
  • Tracks, analyses, and reports on all photography initiatives, including deliverables and budgets, as required.
  • Assist with Stantec’s photography program such as monitoring inquiries and responding to stock photography requests.
  • Assist with coordination of Stantec’s annual year-end campaign, working in close partnership with MCPR teams.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and present ideas to colleagues and management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and MS Forms

 

Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related area
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a digital marketing role (agency experience or professional services industry experience preferred) or promotions.
